Rippled Pleasure Sig Tag Tutorial This tutorial was created on December 22, 2004. If it bears any resemblance to another tutorial on the net, it is pure coincidence. The skills that you will learn here are your own, and I hope that you will find them useful. In this tutorial, I will assume that you have a basic working knowledge of PSP9, and it is made for upper level beginners or intermediate skill levels. This tut is made entirely from effects available in the program and doesn't require any external plugins. Remember to save your work often. Materials:
Instructions:
Open the tube of your choice or the one provided. Shift D to duplicate and close the original.
Image/Canvas Size. Increase the canvas size by approximately 50 pixels per side. Right click in your layer pane and choose duplicate layer 2 times.
Rename the first copy "copy 1" and the second copy "copy 2". Hide the copy 1 and copy 2 layers by clicking on the eye to the right of each layer. There should now be red X's on those two layers with only layer 1 visible.
Select Raster 1. Layer Effects/Distortion Effects/Ripple and use the settings shown below:
Right click in the layer pane and duplicate this layer and select the new layer. Select Image/Mirror. Merge/Merge Visible. While still on your merged layer. Effects/Image Effects/Seamless Tiling and use these settings:
You should now have something like this shown below:
Unhide Copy 1 layer and select it to make it active. Select Texture Effects/Mosaic Antique and use these settings:
Unhide Copy 2 layer and select it to make it active. Resize this layer 75% "resize all layers" unchecked. Move the image towards bottom left corner
Merge/Merge Visible and save your blank tag for further use. Add a new Raster layer and add your name using the font and size you have chosen. I used the Flower Text font with the size at 72 pixels. Apply an Inner Bevel with these settings
Apply a Drop Shadow with these settings
Use a mask to soften edges or apply a border of your choice if desired, or just use your imagination to make it your own. Here is another variation with a different tube...
Export your finished file as a .gif or .jpg and your all set. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Back to Main Tutorial List
