The last thing you want is to be stuck in the hotel for the last part of your trip with no money to do anything. Also make sure you are using traveler's checks instead of a credit card. This can help you avoid anyone stealing your card and committing any credit card fraud.
Senior trip planning should also include finding out about health coverage. Make sure you know exactly what kind of coverage your health insurance provides. If your health insurance does not provide coverage, look into medical assistance or short-term coverage. While some people say that senior travel insurance can be harder to find, it isn't impossible to find. This is an important aspect of planning your trip, since seniors can have more health problems and you never know what may happen while traveling. Being prepared in this aspect can be invaluable.
