AWARD PROGRAM CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE EFFECTIVE 7/10/07
Knowing that "design" can mean many things, the main purpose or goal of this award is to reward sites that show creativity and purpose to their website through use of original content created by and about themselves. I am not looking for perfect HTML (please don't crash my browser more than twice or you will chase me away) but a site that is well laid out, shows, creativity on the part of the Webmaster. I look for good content, general knowledge and good use of color schemes (pink and lime green don't match), and is generally pleasing to look at. Although interactivity is nice, excessive use of things that chase my curser around, or over use of Java script and Flash, is not desirable. I hold original content that reflects the Webmaster's personality and interests, provides useful information to others on all manner of subjects, and promotes good will on the internet in high regard and these sites are perfect candidates for this award. Great design does not guarantee a winning site.
